If not for the huge amount of books in my recap pile, I would say that this month flew by so quickly! I can’t believe it’s already December, but for the first time in a while, I am absolutely in the Christmas spirit, and feeling wholly inspired by my cozy, growing piles of books.
This month was very productive for me! I read seven titles, which is more than I’ve accomplished in one month in a long time. Overall, I got my hands on a decently diverse group of books: three thrillers, one biography, two historic fiction memoirs, and a classic! My ratings can be found below!
I was very happy to give three five-star scores! My top choice was definitely Petty: A Biography. I’m biased, though, because my hurt is STILL hurting over Tom Petty’s death, and Warren Zane’s coverage was expansive and beautiful. My bottom pick was Love Lies Beneath, which took me by surprise. This book had been on my shelves for over a year, but I’ve cherished Ellen Hopkins’ works in the past, so I finally picked it up. I’m sorry to say it didn’t impress me as much as I’d hoped. But I’m hopeful for the sequel!

Nitro Mountain – ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Love Lies Beneath – ⭐️⭐️

Here’s to December TBR’s, and to the Christmas season!
